Saudi Arabia to Launch Luxury Train “Dream of the Desert”

Saudi Arabia is set to launch its first luxury train service, which will travel 800 miles through desert regions.
This unique train is expected to become operational in November 2025, connecting the Saudi capital Riyadh to the city of Qurayyat.
The project is a collaboration between Saudi Railways and Italy’s Arsenale Group, which is renowned for luxury trains.
The train service has been named “Dream of the Desert,” and during its 800-mile route, it will pass through Saudi Arabia’s stunning desert landscapes.
The train will feature 40 luxurious carriages, offering passengers the option to book one or two-night tours.
This new luxury train service is primarily part of Saudi Arabia’s plans to attract more tourists to the country.
According to the Saudi Railway Company, “Dream of the Desert” will provide tourists and local residents an opportunity to explore more regions of Saudi Arabia with comfortable and luxurious facilities. Through this service, tourists will also be able to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites and the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve in Saudi Arabia.
According to Paolo Barletta, CEO of Arsenale Group, Saudi Arabia will be the first country to offer luxury hospitality on a train.
The project is expected to cost $53 million, and Saudi officials believe this train will redefine people’s perceptions of luxury travel.
