Sambhal Shahi Jama Masjid: Police Outpost, Dispute Grows
Sambhal, December 27: In Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, following the violence that erupted during a survey at the Shahi Jama Masjid on November 24, the administration has made a significant decision. A new police outpost will be constructed in the vacant ground in front of the Shahi Jama Masjid. The location has been marked, and the Additional SP and CO Srichandra have also measured the site.
Speaking to Aaj Tak, Sambhal’s Additional SP Srichandra said that the decision to build a police outpost in this area has been made from a security standpoint. The construction work will begin as soon as possible.
When the SP, along with the police force, arrived near the Jama Masjid, the mosque committee and nearby people came with their land documents. They stated that they brought the documents because they claim that the land belongs to them. “We will examine this claim.”
