Meta’s $5000 Offer for TikTok Users on Facebook & Instagram

The acceptance of TikTok in the United States can be gauged by the fact that, according to TikTok’s management, the app has over 170 million users in the U.S., and it serves as a source of livelihood for thousands. However, in recent days, TikTok users are worried due to the U.S. administration’s threats of banning the app.
The new U.S. President, Donald Trump, has temporarily postponed the enforcement of the ban on TikTok after assuming office, but this relief is only temporary. TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, now has 75 days to find a business partner in the U.S. and sell half of its shares to them.
Donald Trump has always been a critic of TikTok, but during his election campaign, the popularity he gained on the app seems to have made him more flexible in his stance regarding TikTok.
On the other hand, it seems that Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) is trying to take advantage of this uncertain situation.
Recently, without naming TikTok, Meta announced that all well-known creators in the U.S. (content creators) who join Facebook and Instagram will be given $5000.
Meta has stated that third-party social app users who migrate to Facebook and Instagram will be paid cash bonuses based on their popularity on these platforms.
Meta further said that under its “Breakthrough Bonus Program,” individuals joining Meta’s apps will receive the amount within 90 days.
However, there are conditions: creators must regularly post their content on Meta’s platforms. New users must publish at least 20 reels on Facebook and 10 reels on Instagram every 30 days. Additionally, all videos must be original and not previously shared on any other social media platform.
